Since my childhood, I have been accompanied by a deep passion for drawing and painting. My studies in Art, German Studies, and Romance Studies, as well as my time in Paraguay, have shaped my style and fueled my imagination.

Author & Artist

Living in the Realm of Possibility

Born in 1972 in northern Germany, I spent my childhood drawing and painting every day. Growing up without a television, books and being outdoors were my constant sources of inspiration. I especially loved the stories of Astrid Lindgren. Later, I studied Art, German Studies, and Romance Studies in Kiel and went on to teach Art, German, French, and other subjects at schools in Northern Germany and in South America.

Through writing plays for my students and keeping a blog during my time in South America, I gradually moved toward writing my own texts, poems, and eventually novels.

Under the pen names “Bente Amlandt” and “Lu C. Ohm”, I have written novels in the genres of fantasy, historical fiction, mystery, and science fiction.

Inspired by my work as a curator for my partner, the artist Franksy Zabel, I decided not only to appear publicly as an author but also to present my artwork.
